My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by.
After my grandparents passed, my daddy turned the larger barn into his welding shop. My sons spent many a day with ''Granddad'' playing with their toy John Deere tractors and chasing the shop cats around the barn.
I (and my family) have had many wonderful memories in this place - and hope you do too!
