The Hays County Office of Emergency Services works in concert with multiple agencies and jurisdictions to help protect residents before, during and after disasters and other emergencies. Hays County OES aids in the coordination of resources and personnel for everything from wildfires to floods to freezes. After a disaster, OES leads recovery efforts. This office plays a critical role in ensuring cross-agency communication. OES also leads the county-wide Standard Response Protocol program and is a critical piece of our school safety network.
