Communities In Schools of Central Texas (CIS) is a local affiliate of a national nonprofit organization recognized for its evidence-based model that ensures every student has what they need to realize their potential in school and beyond. Working directly inside schools, we connect students to caring adults and community resources that help them see, confront, and overcome the barriers that stand between them and a brighter future. Together, we build a powerful and collaborative movement among peers, students, and alumni committed to building educational pathways for today’s students, as well as future generations.
CIS of Central Texas partners with 10 area schools districts to provide programming at 111 schools. Last year, CIS served 80,611 students with schoolwide supports, and intensive case management services to 11,914 students.
