We are looking for a full-time pelvic floor Physical Therapist Assistant who is dedicated and passionate about women’s health and wellness. We believe in providing compassionate, individualized care to address the changes that accompany every stage of life. Candidates should have experience in pelvic floor physical therapy, or be willing to immediately seek out education and training to become up-to-date in pelvic floor physical therapy interventions. Candidates must enjoy and contribute to collaborative work and be open to continuing education. Experience with orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy is a plus.

Hays County Physical Therapy and Wellness is a direct care physical therapy clinic that specializes in women’s health and wellness. Located in North San Marcos, Texas (right on the border of San Marcos and Kyle) our clinic is located in one of the fastest growing areas in Texas Hill Country. Responsibilities and activities:

  • Assist with patient plans of care created by a PT

  • Do everything possible to get the best outcome for every patient

  • Ensure that patients achieve their clinical and health/lifestyle outcomes

  • Develop a life-long relationship with patients that benefits both the patient and the clinic

  • Confidently communicate the value of our services and your skills during the conversation about price

  • Confidently communicate orally and in-writing with providers, medical assistants, and other personnel and agencies concerned with patient care

  • Participate in, contribute to, and help to develop education training both in-house and externally to ensure ongoing learning and skill development

  • Ensure 95% of your patients arrive for their treatment as scheduled

  • Provide high level of customer care that will cause patients to want to come back frequently 

  • Increase referrals by providing high level of customer care and service to all of your patients 

  • Support the Physical Therapy team to ensure patients coming for discovery sessions convert to first evaluation and maintain consistency throughout their plan of care

  • Ensure clinical notes are kept up-to-date and accurate

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of workshops, events, and in-services

  • Be on-hand to participate in and contribute to the clinic’s social media activity

  • Do patient call backs without being asked and be willing to speak to patients who have dropped off schedule

  • Be willing and able to communicate virtually through telehealth with patients for continuation of plan of care as needed

  • Schedule client and collect payment as needed

  • Weekly meetings with manager and monthly team meetings

  • Performs other related duties, as assigned


  • Above average physical therapy skills that will be developed continuously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter that does not need to be micromanaged and can meet deadlines


  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with an Associate’s Degree in PT

  • Current Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Texas

  • Current CPR and First Aid or willing to pursue certification within the first 30 days of employment

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant;  pelvic floor physical therapy and/or women’s health experience is a plus

  • Strength and Conditioning, Sports Performance, or Weightlifting experience a plus

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
