Monster Design Contest for Kids at Wimberley Glassworks Calling young artists and monster makers! Wimberley Glassworks invites children ages 8–10 and 11–14 to design their own original monster for a chance to see it transformed into a one-of-a-kind hand-blown glass sculpture. Designs are due October 15, 2026, and will be displayed in the gallery. One winner from each age group will be selected by public vote and team of artisans. Wimberley Glassworks’ glassblowers will create the winning monsters live during a Halloween weekend glassblowing demonstration. Winning artists can watch their creations being made in person or via livestream. The finished sculptures will be displayed through mid-November and then given to the young artists free of charge.
