Mermaid Society Art Ball

The Mermaid Society Art Ball is scheduled for Friday, September 15th from 7:00 – 11:30 p.m. taking place on the grounds of the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, located in San Marcos, Texas. The Meadows Center sits on the site of an environmentally, culturally, and archaeologically significant resource and headwaters to the San Marcos River, Spring Lake. The former Spring Lake Resort at Aquarena Springs, the ‘original home of the San Marcos Mermaids’, will come to life with a magical evening paying tribute to our beloved San Marcos River and the arts. This highly anticipated “City Gala” is expected to sell-out again this year with 500 guests in attendance. An event to see and be seen, creatively inspired evening wear is highly encouraged. The artier, the better! Guests will be treated to a variety of libations provided by Altmeyer & Lewis Brewery Co., Dripping Springs Vodka, Patio Dolcetto Wine Lounge and Bier Garden and local wineries. Party goers will enjoy “Mer-tini’s” on the rooftop while cheering for their favorite mixologist semifinalist from the Mer-tini Shakedown Competition earlier in the week; to determine who will earn the title of the “BEST” Mer-tini cocktail in San Marcos! Ball guests will dine on delectable fare provided by Root Cellar Café & Brewery, and enjoy locally made sweets from Lauren’s Wildflour Bakery. This private evening includes starry night rooftop views, champagne sunset glass bottom boat cruises, live music, dancing, dining, specialty cocktails, live art performances and more. Expect the unexpected at this enchanting Ball! Proceeds from the Society Ball provide support for the 2nd Annual SMTX Mermaid SPLASH, a celebration of all things San Marcos, Texas.
