Nostalgia-inducing indie alt pop band “Goons,” composed of power songwriting couple Cole and Sydney Burris, will open The Wimberley Players 2023 outdoor series of concerts and movies on Saturday, June 3^rd at 8:30 pm. Drawing from all your favorite ‘80s sounds, this pair creates a unique, lively, music experience for audiences both young and reminiscing.

Cole Burris grew up listening to bands like The Cars, Journey, and Duran Duran. Lead singer Sydney Burris was primarily influenced by ‘80s artists like Sheena Easton, ABBA, and Queen. The screaming electric guitar solos, hooky synth riffs, and bass lines (provided by William Barksdale) make for a unique retro sound, taking their audiences back to the ‘80s with a modern flare. So bring your dancing shoes and chairs, and get ready to rock!
