Grand Opening on September 8th at Texas Old Town On Sunday, September 8th, to much fanfare, Eikon Church will have their Grand Opening service and will finally begin weekly services. Eikon places a large emphasis on children and families and offers services that are casual, engaging, with contemporary music and helpful messages. Eikon has spent the past year serving the community of San Marcos by running after school programs, giving groceries to families in need, partnering with students at Texas State and even paying for the surgery of a little girl so that she could regain her hearing. Eikon (which means image) has invested so much into the community because it believes that they are to partner with other churches and organizations to represent God in the local community. Since arriving to San Marcos in July, 2012, they have partnered with organizations like Mission San Marcos and the Hays County Food Bank to see the city and especially it's children have a better life and grow into better individuals. Since God is good, they want to do good and be good within the city.
