Each year Alzheimer’s Texas hosts several walk events to generate funds to advance its mission in Central Texas and raise awareness about the disease and related disorders. The walks are a fun way to build community with families, friends, and providers dealing with Alzheimer’s and related disorders. As a 100% privately funded organization, Alzheimer’s Texas relies on the generosity of our walkers and their donors to sustain our services and programs. You can trust that 100% of funds raised will stay in Texas to be use for support, care, and research. Your participation demonstrates that you care about and want to support families touched by Alzheimer’s and related disorders. There is no fee for walkers to participate and each participant who raises $50 or more gets a 2018 commemorative t-shirt. The walk is about 2 miles long. Alzheimer’s Texas is committed to eliminating Alzheimer’s disease by advancing research and enhancing care and support for individuals, their families, and caregivers. Core programs and services include Information and Referral, Education and Training, Care Consultation, Support Groups, Early Stage, Advocacy, and Community Respite Development. All of our services are free of charge.
