After postponing this year's State of the City event due to COVID-19, a new date has been scheduled. On July, 29, 2020 the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the City of San Marcos and San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District will discuss the current events of San Marcos and goals for the future.
This year, the event will focus on local restaurants. In an effort to continue social distancing and support local businesses, those who sign up will be split into groups and dine at various restaurants where a recorded State of the City message will be played.
