2014 Governor's Small Business Forum

The Greater San Marcos Partnership, the Office of the Governor, and the Texas Workforce Commission together with Texas State University and the Texas State University System invite you to participate in the region's first Governor's Small Business Forum & HUB Expo on Tuesday, June 24th from 8:30 AM - 3:15 PM at the Embassy Suites San Marcos. The Governor's Small Business Forum is an all day event designed to provide entrepreneurs and small business owners an opportunity to learn best practices and tricks of the trade to grow in today's fast-paced economy. Hear from regional industry experts about contracting negotiations, the best technology and marketing tools and how to expand globally. We are honored to have as our luncheon keynote speaker a recognized leader for entrepreneurship, Laura Kilcrease, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurial Action at Texas State University. Kilcrease, a 25-year veteran of the Austin technology scene, was one of the key participants in changing the economic landscape of Central Texas into the high tech environment that is widely recognized today. Also speaking during lunch is Andrés Alcantar, Chairman and Commissioner Representing the Public for the Texas Workforce Commission. In addition, the HUB Expo will provide essential information and opportunities to help minority, women and disabled veteran-owned businesses to do business with the State of Texas. There will be networking opportunities during the Small Business Forum & HUB Expo to meet with key stakeholders of state organizations, industry specialists, government officials, service providers and other regional small businesses.
